Paint Protection film wrapping is the process of covering a vehicle with a thin layer of vinyl PPF film. When you order PPF films for your car, make sure you get enough to cover the entire vehicle. Ordering too little might result in mismatched colors and a sloppy finish, while ordering too much means you'll waste money on extra materials.

Tips for Measuring How Much PPF Film You Need to Wrap Your Car
The amount of PPF film you'll need depends on the size and shape of your vehicle and what kind of graphicsyou want to apply.
If you're trying to determine how much PPF film you need to wrap your vehicle, here are some simple formulas to help you get the right amount.
Width x Length x Repeat = Total Yardage
- Width: This is the measurement of the side of the vehicle or any flat surface you're covering.
- Length: This is the measurement from the front to the back of the vehicle (or vice versa).
- Repeat: This indicates how many times the length will be duplicated on each side of your project area.
(Length x Width x Number of Seams) x 0.5"= Total Square Feet
- Example:(12"x12"x2)x0.5"= 30 Square ft
So if you have an 8" x 8" piece of PPF film wrap and want to cover it with a 6" x 6" piece of paper, then simplmultiply 8 x 8 x 2= 96 Square in. 96 square in divided by 3 equals 32 square ft total amount ofmaterial needed for this project.
